        Small nose opening...therefore, I bet RZM 52.

The very earliest type of 2nd pattern skull.

If these were first made in 1933, which seems to be accepted these days, then this is a '33 Deschler.

            Nice.

Probably just a few months later in timeframe than this 1st pattern by Steinhauer & Lueck.................

Probably the first or second SS skull variation ever made.
              It is Deschler. Congrats! Chris

Thank you. I put the rarity scale of this on par with D&SM GES GESCH marked tk. SSgentleman is still having a mad adrenalin rush in his head now all i hope for is a elusive 254/42 TK.

Darn. I had ruled that one out, because I didn't see the circle from the RZM visible on the jaw from the front. Does this one not show through, or is that feature just not visible in the photo because of the reflected glare?

Brad, yes there is a visible circle impression near the front jaw, the glare must have block out the details.

That is a tough one to find in any condition, let alone one so superb.

                      Very nice acquisition!

The RZM circle impression is proper for the earliest Deschler skulls, (not RZM 52 skulls, that I know of).

Precisely my point. When I didn't see the impression in the first photo, I ruled out it being a GES GESCH version and guessed that it must be an RZM 52. However, we now see that the impression is there and was only hidden by the glare in the first photo.
