    period image SS camo clothing

    Uniform study:
Here's a neat period image of 2 long haired partisan fighters (perhaps brothers?) in the Balkans!
One is wearing a zippered (slip on?) camo tunic made of SS camo. Note breast pockets and collar.
Could actually be a heavily modified SS camo smock.
The other resistance fighter is wearing a camo garment in what appears to be Heer splinter! Neat contrast!

guy on the left looks like he is wearing a nice oak leaf camo cloth made tunic, minus any insignia (if it ever had any at all) and the other stuff is splinter camo for sure!!! Amazing pic Matt

It looks as if the item on the left used to be a smock with a plane tree overprint pattern.

      Cheers

I saw them before, I think they were Chetniks of Serbia.

              It certainly appears that way.

The one on the left looks a bit pasted on, but i think its just the contrast with the photo.

The one on the right looks alittle like a 70's George harrison.

                Still interesting picture.

My knowledge of period pictures is very limited, but I think that picture doesn't look period. It looks strange and unconvincing. I wouldn't be surprised if I ran into these gentlemen in some disco in Prague.

Isn't the guy on the riight very familar, like Jon Stewart. The heads might both be stuck on there.

Guys you are all wrong !!!
These guys are the Beatnick brothers and this famous photo was taken moments after they preformed their now groundbreaking music set at Woodstock.
they always preformed in full camouflage outfits ,and their first album was called ..........The dark side of the plain tree ............
I hope this helps anyones doubts on this picture .
                          All the best
                          owen .

regardless of the faces being added or what not, the smaock on the right and the splinter on the left look interesting. THe zipper on the SS smock or jacket is interesting added portion. Matt

I still think it is Jon Stewart at Indiantown Gap in the 80's.
