The first posted one even looks too new. That one looks fake. Now, I don't drink that much beer, but the second, clear glass stein makes me thirsty just looking at it. Fabulous!!!

I've collected Third Reich and Imperial Regimental steins for 30 plus years.

In my opinion the first stein pictured is a modern reproduction. The second stein shown by Peter has the correct 'feel' and appearence of a genuine period item.

I don't think it is accurate to call it a "reproduction." That implies that it is made to look like something which actually existed during the TR. Instead, this ridiculous POS is better called a "fantasy" item as was previously stated, because nothing as absurd as this was ever produced before 1945...or even 2005, probably.
