    large ss zelt

Hi all. A friend of mine could buy this tent. It is sewn together with ss camo Oakleaf, and is very faded at the outside. Colours are bright at the inside. I wonder value of this, since i never seen such before and think it is post war sewn together. All help and opinions is welkomed. Best, norge

Probably sewn together by Heimevernet (National Guard) around 1950. They had LOADS of smocks, Zelts and helmetcovers and they used it up until the 1970s. Keep it as it is, at least make shure it dont get in wrong hands !!!!!!
I would love to have it in my sidecar equipped BMW R-71 and use it.

Value?? Dont know, but send me a PM if you want it to be used as is.

          Best regards, Tom

I think that won't be a big problem as it looks to be printed on one side only and it is zelt material, so I don't know what a faker could use it for.

            Interesting find nevertheless!

            Cheers

              Hi Guys
I have seen one of these before in Enlgland at least 20 years ago .
The guy at Syntown militaria found one in Beligum ,
And from what I remember he cut it up for smocks .
So some of these are floating around somewhere .

                Interesting tent.
But is there a picture out there of this tent in use ?
The question is; is it ww2 made or is it made in Norway after the war, of leftover camo. material.

                Regards
                Derek

It is very faded from the sun on one of the sides !

DeMil is correct, printed on both sides, but very faded on outside.
Thank you all for opinions. My statment is post war made by original camo.
