The cap insignia are indeed fake...they are cast fakes of a lesser quality then some of the cast fakes that abound. Interesting to see that the lower skull and eagle were made by the same faker as the reverse pins are the same...the pins on the bottom two look like they are cut from tin, while the top two pins look closer to legit pins.
