The title is wrong. This kind of shields were used for the Dutch Legion in 1941. No proper Waffen-SS, but connected to the Waffen-SS. Dutch SS was only a Political Organisation, based on the German Allgemeine SS. Used black uniforms and no armshields.

The first shields for the "Freiwilligen Legion Niederlande" were handmade this way. I think it there is a chance for it. Please show us more details and the backside.

              Regards, Kees

And what is the price for this thing?

                Regards, Tom

Sorry that it take so long to put another picture on this thread.

                  But here it is:

                  This is the backside.

Can some one tell me now if it's real? And what will it cost?

                      The Dutch shield....

                      Dear Tom,

You have a 100% authentic Dutch volunteer shield: indeed as Cees stated an early one, mostly worn by the members of the 'Frw. Leg. Niederlande'.

                      So thumps up!
P.s. I bought a last one (in fine condition) for a couple of 100's so they are rare!

                      Best regards,

                      Coco
Pls. have also a look at my web-site: www.hiscoll.com

                        That's a rare badge!

One like it is shown in the old Mollo/Buss book.

The price is what you want to give for it and what the seller asks for it.
