SS Cap Eagle 1/52 - Opinions Please

This eagle looks similiar to other 1/52s - is it a good one?

Reverse - note the faint RZM on the viewers right wing, and the 52 on the left.

So for the sake of general discussion, the eagle I'm presenting has two fairly distinctive features of the 1/52 our moderator posted as an example of an original example.

I would also point out the indistinct RZM and lightly stamped 1/52 on the one being discussed, as featured on original examples. The bold, raised 1/52 discussed on this eagle presented in an earlier thread that is common on replicas http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...t=1%2F52+eagle is absent the wing flaws shown on originals as well.

Hence my comment about similiar features. Additional illuminating comments? s/f Robert

Chris, in this thread you started http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...t=1%2F52+eagle Gary Wood presented the two eagles to answer your request for an original example of a 1/52 eagle. In other words, you asked the forum for real examples so you could see what they looked like, and Gary responded.

The eagles he responded with as original examples are shown above. The first image shows the same wing die slashes (highlighted) as the ones Gary posted. Have these now become "well known fakes"?
