            SS Bike

This is a Chinese Chang Jiang. A copy of the BMW R71, popular amongst reenactors like myself.

                Sturgis

Well I cannot stand the old Men who strut around in fresh leather Chaps looking like Liberace on their overchromed Bikes, so I like this Bike! There really is something for me to do at Sturgis besides holding the Hose at the various Wet-T shirt Contest!

                    ??

What does a set up like that usually cost for reenactors?

                      Chang Jiang 750

I was lucky and picked up a basket case here in Australia for $2000. Spent another $3500 to get it looking the part. You can import them from China to Australia for aprox $7000AUD. I wish I could post a pic of mine here but apparently am not allowed?? God knows why, Ian

There was a site called vintagesidecar.com , try that one. I think they are out of boston and they import their bikes from china. You can type in BMWR71 into a google search and you will usually get some chang jiang dealers. typical price seems to be around $5000+ import fees and what have you.
