I've sent Raymond a link to the thread, as I'm sure he would like to see it. He keeps a very comprehensive database of SS-ZA and SS dagger numbers, so he may just be able to help you identify the original owner

Hi

From the front the pin looks good, but do you have an image on the back.

There only seems to be one image of the front of the badge.

PS - scrub that, another friend had sent me a link to GDC and I have seen the back of the pin. It is an original and I will have a look through my database. Please don't get your hopes up as the database is a work in progress and so the gaps in numbers is pretty huge
