    question about Oberbayern TK insignia

    Fellow collectors,

Could anybody shed some light on the subject of (Oberbayern) TK insignia? I do know the types of insignia, but I'm missing a timetable. Insignia like the skull and letter 'O' shoulderboards cyphers, the 'D' for Dachau collar tab, when were they first introduced and when were they replaced? I know many of these types of insignia never saw the light of day for more than a few months, a year perhaps at most, but I'd love to see a timetable, perhaps with some nice illustrating pictures. Can anybody help shed some light on the subject? I know there's a lot of 'specialist' info on SS-TV insignia hidden away in numerous interesting threads, a lot them started by members like Jim Toncar and Lorenz, who have a lot of rare TK insignia, but I'd love to see that information 'bundled' in one thread. Many thanks in advance for any contributions!

I would say the pic above is from between the introductions of the 1934 skull and the 1936 eagle, so 1935ish...

        Hello OnnoP,
I have very interest in all is VT/TV , insigna, uniforms and camo.
regarding the TV Oberbayern standarte I have few things that I can show in this thread.
Sure really few compared with the big SS insigna collectors in this forum.
But I found that is really a very interesting thread.
I have on a tunic the Flatwire Oberbayern Skull Title, the last type and the rarest version used during the war by the members (and not only) of this early TV Standarte.
The owner of the group of the insigna restored on this m42 tunic was the SS Rottenfuhrer Hans Grundt pictured bellow.

An other interesting piece, is the skull tab with the number 1.
Often belived how the tab for the 1 standarte Oberbayern how writed in the last updated version of the" SS Cloth insigna " Book .
IMO is only the tab for the 1th Sturm, common for all TV Standarten.
                here some pictures
