Got this recently, I have not seen many of these type of buttons but they go on the rear of the Allgemeine SS Tunic and they hold the belt in place. Very nice and RZM Marked! What do you guys think the value is on this piece? It is supposed to have 24 buttons but one is missing so there is only 23.

Interesting...I thought they were only on Allgemeine SS tunics. Am I correct in saying they go in the back of the tunic to hold the belt?

They are for political tunics: H.J., SA, NSDAP, DAF, NPEA, etc. Most often, Allgemeine SS tunics have RZM-SS marked back buttons, if the buttons are of the RZM type.
You are correct that these are worn, in pairs, on the back of the tunic to assist in belt support.
