President of Iceland's son in W-SS

I recently obtained the attached photo of Björn Björnsson, he was the son of the Icelandic president and served as a W-SS Kriegsberichter amongst others with division Wiking, he was sentensed to jail in Denmark after the war due to his service in W-SS. He returned to Iceland and later emigrated I believe to Argentina. Apart from that I have no information.

He was baptised Björn Sveinsson Björnsson but he used only Björn Sveinsson until 1938 when he started using the family name (Björnsson). He started a import/export company in Hamburg and the company name was Sveinn Björnsson & co. At the end of the war he was arrested in Denmark and released ca year later and then returned to Iceland.

I couldnt find much information other then this about him.

The fact that he was arrested for merely serving in the Waffen-SS, and not for actually committing any crimes, is pathetic. Meanwhile, ex-NKVD operatives are featured on the History Channel openly bragging how they slit the throats of German prisoners, and gosh, they were SO HEROIC!!"

In the last few years i have also noticed the trend of soldiers and political operatives 'spilling their guts' as it were, in regards to war crimes that they got away with..in one week on the Canadian history channel, i saw Canadians, Americans, British and Russian soldiers talk about shooting pow's.
