These are regular single needle seams, so that is all ok.

I am not really sure you know the difference between double and single needle seams and what they should look like? I will try to explain if desired.

In case you are aware of the differences you should have a second look.

      Cheers

          Francesco,
I don't mean to harass you with double posting my posts but the fact that we have various threads now dealing with the same topic is not really helpful.

So, sorry for the fact that I am posting the same here and in other threads.

Hi Fritz,I'm also confused by these same threads here so in case I will post again here I will go on one single thread.

            Best Fritz,
            Francesco

It took me 20 years to find matching pieces of SS head gear.

The cap was bought by Jerome Blake in the early 1960s ........and the cover came from a VERY respected member of this forum.

If you are trying to tar my items with the Italian fakes then you are barking up the wrong tree.

I'd like to see more of these fakes posted for compare as well as establishing the sales pattern and the chain of ownership to the original source for each one. I think that would be of interest and very relevant. (no dog in this, just a comment).

                        Oh !!

Oh, this just gets better. This old fake that I bought so many years ago from another Forum Member just told me in a PM he bought it from Francesco!!! Gee, Francesco it might have been a good idea to tell me you used to own this Cover as well before I found out........

Doc, did you buy it as a fake just for study?

Right now we have a massacre of Francesco. I have allways regarded him as a good collector and a fellow with knowledge. He has showed many nice items on different forums. Before this discussion of camo covers I have not heard any bad words about him. Lets not nail him to the cross but rather lets have a sober and non flamatory discussion. I think it is rather clear that these covers are not origianals, but I feel sad for a collector who bought these some 5-7 years ago believing them to be originals. A lot of us would have agreed on them as originals back then, but now the level of knowledge is higher.

                            Cheers and happy collecting

I am not saying that Francesco sells fakes or even knows these Covers are fake, but what is his ....SOURCE!

I personally like Francesco and he has many wonderful items in his Collection.

                                Francesco

Francesco told me everything in a PM and he is quite the Gentlemen. It is just what me, Owen, Fritz and everybody has suspected all along.
