      Thanks Fritz ,
I have been collecting camouflage for years and now I have some thing nice to share with other like minded people.
I always enjoy looking at other camouflage items and not just the same old pix from all the books that have been floating around for years.
To me it was always a shame the Mike Beever died before he finished his SS headgear book and that I never got to meet him
      All the best

          The pieces are both beautiful!!
In the same very nice condition, vivid colors and same camo plan tree pattern.

These two pieces make a very nice match (although back then such a nice match did seldomly exist). But that "couple" here looks very nice, keep them together!

              Thanks for sharing.

              Cheers

SS camo helmet cover & cap

                What a superb pair!
Did I dream it or was there a camo cap depicted on another thread recently that had the green/brown insignia?
Just how rare are the examples with the insignia, and value?
Purely out of interest - I haven't got any machinists poised in the garden shed!
                Good luck to all

They are quite rare as caps with insignia were made for a very short time only.

Value? That is not so easy to answer as it depends on other factors as well.

                  Cheers

                    Hi Guys .
Thanks for the feed back on my lil babies !!!
It was just pure chance that my cap and cover matched by the way .
When you see them in person the colors are so bright.
And with pieces of the plain edge block in both pieces I could not be more happier.
Both pieces are constructed with different thread types .

                    Hi Fritz
I think I saw the cap you were talking about last week on this fourm .
                    Is it in headgear section?
I think it only had a front shot.

                    Hi Grossfuss
Tell your machinest in the garden shed to use nylon thread to sew the patches on !!!!
You can get great thread in the household section at Boots.........
I have only ever had in my hands 7 caps ever that were real ,but only one had the patches .
That must be the rarest of hats as they were only issued for a very short time.
Beavers first book tells the whole story on this I believe.

                    Lorenz
Now you have the winter side to look at .
Any chance on those winter pants??

                    All the best
                    O

                              Agree!

From those photos I like it to. Clips on helmetcover looks good. Nice camo, strong colors on both cap and cover!
