    Boring SS arm eagle question...

    Hello, need a little help,
I've take a look in the fake thread, I have found similar eagles but never exactly the same, so need help of our insignia specialists.
I bought it 6 years ago and I was convinced that it was an original, but I can be mistaken, believe that I had posted it on GDC forum a long time ago (and "was" an original at this time) but I do not find any more the topic.

NO black light reaction at all.

    Thank you.

Looks more like a fat owl than an eagle ... not one I'd buy I'm afraid, but then again I may be missing out on a real one ? I don't think so though.

The eagle is original. It is not the most pleasing patterm, but one found on late war tunics and often on the late war 'Normandie' Italian camo tunics. The eagle, in the attached photo, was in the pocket of an Italian camo M-44 tunic that was taken shortly after the invasion. Sadly, somewhere, along it's history, the eagle was removed from the sleeve. I have the tunic.

In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king.

Duct tape can't fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound.

I think when one pontificates like that, one needs to explain WHY he thinks something is so...after all we are all here to -learn- from each other. Reading one's stated opinion without anything to enlighten is a waste of energy for both the writer and the readers.
If you don't tell us why you arrived at your opinion, then why would we care what the opinion is?

Sergey, did you not read Bob Hritz's posting or do you not understand it. He has got this very type of eagle from one of his veteran buys and he has seen this type of eagle more than once from a good source. Do think he is wrong on this ?
