Waffen SS Overseas Cap Trade

I'm considering trading this for a single decal paratrooper helmet with a decal at about 90 % with a good honest liner,textbook correct helmet. My question is - is this an even trade ,you know value wise?

A good single decal fj goes for about $7500 and an ss o/s cap for about $3000. Jacques

Its not always about the money ..two happy collectors swapping is good on occasion... a few decades ago i would say these were closer to equal in collector dollar value..Billbert

Good God ,I had no idea that an FJ helmet was that much. I'm not gonna push the trade because its with a friend and it might cause a problem it's not worth it Thanks for the info

Oh well - I guess you're going to end up stuck with a dumb 'ol SS cap. I know the skull's good, but I don't know this kind of cap very well. If the cap is original, I'm not sure if I'd trade. The helmet is worth more, but I think the caps have more character. Just my 2 cents.

If the cap turns out to be bogus, take the insignia off and keep them, THEN trade the cap for the helmet.
