In my opinion these straps have good chance to be authentics from the period, remember you can see everything and all strange and un-standard manifacture during RSI period.
If the seller give guarranty on this pair, there is a reason, you need to have it on hands for inspection to be sure.

Luca, agree with you, only "smart" words of an rookie member..
personally don't have an good feeling about this straps the costruction
is very approsimative (imo) in the RSI period the quality of hand tailor
cut made is highest and fine.
    all the best, Raffaello
"six italians, dressed in rather unusual diving suits and equipped with materials of laughably little cost have swung the military balance of power in the Mediterranean in favour of the Axis".

Felix , I do not disagree with you. I have certain reservations. I do not like the tongue material at all . They actually looked added as an after thought. The photos shown may be the biggest problem. I would like to see clear closups of the backing material. I cannot even tell what color they are from his photos.

My RED BOARDS are quite unique, but all follow same tailoring. I see certain traits in his with mine but not all .

My red one have no keyholes just reinforced slits.

Here are some pics I already posted on different thread

The single EM was a vet pickup . The two EMs were bought from a vet
by a dealer and sold on e-bay. The NCO's came from this WAF forum after a year of negotiation. If I am sure about anything in my collection I am sure of these.
Don't think because I have five boards its unbelievable . Five from what I could find in 30 years. I just bought my first Lorioli skull a couple of monthes ago ,now I have a small horde from one lucky hit.

Here is the single VET buy by me. with the eagle and red chevron

NCO boards aquired alone from the WAF Forum. Match completely with the
Vet single except wear and tresse.

I must say I fail to see what these things have to do with judging the quality of the italian soliders of WWII. "I generally don´t like german cooking, so the quality of the WWII-era german soldiers must consequently have been bad..."

No, better then to ask the opinions of those who actually fought with and against the italians soldiers during WWII..... But as interesting as this topic would be, it´s a subject for a military history forum....
