If for some unfathomable reason these are real...good luck trying to convince someone else.

They have some features of original localy made red boards. The tongues are different as is the unusual piping. I would like to handle these.
Don't compare apples and oranges. Once the Italiane SS started wearing black insignia I am sure both German made(apples) and local Italian (oranges)boards were both worn. The Italian SS was never a cohesive unit nor did they all wear the same insignia as would be issued Divisionaly.
Unfortunately there is no benchmark to use on some items.

          Dear Dennis,
agree with you the comparison productions sometimes is real different
between german and italian, about these staps I have doubt...
The SS Italiane sometimes is possible to have an standard of production
variable in photo an strange SS tab imo italian production
          all the best, Raff

Raffaello, Yes I have my doudts or should I say reservations. No doudt they are not eye pleasing and I hate the way the tress is sewn on. This none the less would not be criteria for dissmissing them out of hand.

Look at the thickness of the piping in this pic, Do you think this is typical German manufacture?

The jacket in photo #5 is one of the wildest items of SS clothing I have ever seen. If someone had that jacket without the owners photo you would die trying to convince others it was real. Great photos...thanks for sharing.

Richard, The photo on page 5 is the same type as on page 8 . It is an Italian Parachutists Tunic. Collarless. Notice the cloth belt , sleeve closure. This jacket saw much use by Italian SS and other RSI forces
et. al.(XMAS) Decima Mas, (GNR)Guardia Nationale Republicana,
(BBNN)Black Brigades. Not always the issued model ,but sometimes privately tailored.

I am hoping he is just giving his "expert" opinions on the straps.
