Foreign volunteer shields: Danish and Dutch

    Hi,
Sorry for maybe presenting some shields that I *should* know about posting in this subforum, but as I am not into SS-related items, I need to ask... (Also giving away my lack of knowledge in the area...):

Pictured below are two foreign volunteer shields; one Danish and one Dutch. They do seem genuine, reflecting quality, age, condition etc., and I am pretty sure that the Dutch shield has been worn to, and later taken off, a uniform. The colour in the Dutch shield's "orange" part is rather red than orange, though...? Strange or normal?

Could I please ask for your opinions regarding these shields...? If genuine, are they interesting and/or hard to find...? And, if I may, what are the going rates...? I have seen the dealer prices, but I don't believe those to always reflect what a potential buyer is prepared to pay...

    Thanks for any input!

    Best wishes,
    Mikael

          copy of Dachau pattern

These appear to be the copies of the Dachau pattern sleeve shield, as distributed by
"Pieces of History" out of Arizona...
If you do a search on this dealer on WAF you'll find your answer... Sorry but I am
not optimistic about these. I hope I'm wrong. Perhaps others will chime in on this as well!

The Danish shield is certainly a repro. I think the Dutch shield is too: the colours are off and the embroidery/weave is too loose in comparison to the two Dachau Dutch shields I have.
