Opinions needed on M1/167 eagle

As I am not familiar with the finer details of this particular maker, could the knowledgeable collectors please weigh in on this M1/167 eagle.

I measured the weight at 9.79 grams with a digital scale. It appears to be cast and is non-magnetic. Help will be greatly appreciated.

It's a very nice eagle made by Augustin Hicke, Tyssa b. Bodenbach.

Hi Anders, I just saw your reply. Would you happen to know what material this is made of? It doesn't appear to be zinc since it has no finish, rather it is the natural color of the metal. I'm not sure if it's aluminum since it has such a shine.

As far as I know, these were made of zinc alloy and were die-strucked.

I was under the assumption that this piece was cast because of the appearance of the metal on the flat areas of the reverse, which have a "crinkled" look much like when molten metal cools....

But perhaps I am incorrect and this is actually an applied finish?

If so, then this piece has 100% intact finish. Again, I am unfamiliar with these so I hope everyone will forgive any ignorance on my part.

I'm not aware of these distinctive eagles being faked (yet) no-doubt an expert will correct me though.

The eagle has this appearance, as when the male and female dies meet, the material used to form the object is in a near liquid state due to the high pressure needed to form the design.

The bottom die piece in this case, is not as detailed as one say, used to make a die stamped eagle in thin sheet metal..

The back is indicative of the 'semi-hollow' type of manufacture..
