Interesting original Rodo ,any Input Is More Than Welcome ,otherwise Just Enjoy Taking A Look .the Paint Has Typical Wear As If It Were Worn In Period But The Black Is Another Story , I Just Dont Know What To Make Of This Rig.

...you can easily remove the black paint.

there are some product that are perfect for modern paints but don't remove old paint.
sorry but in english is difficult.

i would say... the black paint is sure post war one... so with specific products you can easily remove without damage the old paint.

odd. any chance the black is the PRIMER paint? but then if so that still leaves the Q. about the lighter paint on top (?) you say "blue" but could it be a gray that's oxidixed or otherwise chemically changed thru the years?

I'd try jean-pierre the buckle expert - he especially knows SS models...

Id say biker rigged to wear with an american style belt. (hence the extra wire to fit a snap belt, original prongs used to close it)
