SS Cufflinks

I just got a small goup of medals that contained this single Cufflink:

Does anybody know what this is and how much it is worth?

Nobody has any idea? It came with an East Medal, and a little "Feldspange" featuring Iron Cross 2nd Class and War Merit Cross 2nd Class with swords directly from the family.

what exactly is the 'black' material?

There is considerable controversy surrounding SS cufflinks with many claiming they are fantasy items. However; Cufflinks are clearly listed as items given out in Himmlers surviving gift book. I along with Gaspare have handled a couple of pairs of these,not in the style as the one pictured above, and while I certaintly can't attest to their validity they are certainly quality crafted in the manor of an original TK ring.
