This pair is for sale, looking good to me but want a final opinion before i take them.

Condition is mint and there are no stamps inside the mittens..

SS camo mittens

I need to get out my pair but there is a good chance they are no good. Alot of the mint specimens with the white straps were brought in years ago. They came in at the same time RZM imported some very good helmet covers The covers and mittens fooled a lot of us myself included. I will dig out my pair and match them to these if they are a perfect match then they are no good as that is what mine turned out to be.

Does this apply across the board with oak patterns as well? Just curious, I have an oak pair, which I cant recall what color the strings are, however, the material on my mint Oak are 100 percent right, when compared with a seperately purchased toque (which does have the greyish hbt tie) and a mint Oak reversible jacket. If the material is bad on these dot, it would fool me. How does the white side show? No matter how mint the camo side is, I have yet to see an original mint reversible jacket/pants/mittens toque from any branch which did not have a nice age patina to the white side, which, would be very very difficult to replicate.

I dont think that white ties mean repro it is just that his set matches some that turned out to be repros. Most think that the outer fabric is wartime left over stock but after all the years the interiors and the ties are still perfectly white. what gets me is my pair has been in my possession for 15 years of so and they still havent yellowed any. I thought mine were real until someone was selling another pair exactly like mine and they were being sold as repros that were years old and he was the original purchaser. He also had one of the helmet covers that was bought at the same time. he still had reciepts from when he bought them. So all I could do was put my two pieces in the same catagory. plus at the time if this many mittens and toques showed up in a fair amount of numbers how come not 1 parka at all. It is just my opinion but mine match the repros and these match mine
