    SS m-42 tunic opinion

    Hi guys,

Taavi has posted this SS tunic on the e-stand for sale

    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=289380

It looks like a honest tunic to me.But would like to hear some more comments. Are there some red flags or other points of attention ?

    I really appreciate your input

    regards,

    Etienne

    .

Now bear with me because my experience with M42 tunics is limited but I do not like it myself. The stamps I am not happy with, neither some of the other features which appear to me to point towards a post war made tunic.

    Best,

    Pete

construction and material etc bad not one i would want either i just say it on the e-stand before i read this thread and thought the same
Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.

I would like to see more and better pictures, traces after insignia, pictures of the pockets and under the "pocket-flaps" Also better pictures of the lining. On some of the pictures it looks like a nice smooth silky-like materiel and on other pictures it almost looks like light brown cotton.

Looks like the lower pockets has been moved up at some point (the tunic has been shortened)

I don´t know about the stamping, what do you guys think is wrong with it? Is The stamping itself wrong numbers or the look of the numerals?

From the pictures I only see a well worn M42 tunic and IMO more and better pictures would be preferred before we lower the value on this tunic from 1900€ to 150€

                Cheers
                Lars

                  .

Since the photos dissappeared I will just put them back here for further study, at least at the photographic level, from those who have experience with M42 tunics.
