    SS eagle and skull set

    Hello,

I have recently picked up this set of SS visor cap insignia. They appear to be a nickel silver? They appear very nice. But, I was wanting to run things by you guys before keeping them. Open for all comments.

    Thanks Again,
    Matt

They are bad. You can see pits and casting marks, especially on the backs.

Rather than "very nice," I would call them "horrible."

                  Hello,

Does anyone have some originals to show for example? Thanks for everyones help. These things are hard to judge for many people who have not held and seen originals.

                  Thanks Again,
                  Matt

Just look at the back of the badge. You can see that the badge was created by pouring liquid metal in a mold. The rounded edges in back, the bubble holes and casting flash clearly show it was pored in to a mold.
Original were stamped out of cupal, alum etc and had crisp sharp edges and no casting imperfections.
