There is an ss shoulderstrap for sale on e-stand http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...=280797&page=2 And it looks like the cypher was added to the strap after it was made. On the reverse side of the strap you can see the stitching to add the cypher. Was this normal?

this is not uncomon,not textbook,but I believe this for war time upgrade and I have seen in the past some like this one,I mean reworked in this way
