    SS-SD shoulder boards?

    Hello,
    I've bought this pair of shoulder boards on the local flea market. The seller told me that they're form the SS-SD uniform. I'd be glad to hear your opinions, I'm not collecting german militaria, but I'm interested if they're original or not.

            SD Boards

            These are only the tops as you may know. Toxic green bottons are missing, which identifies them as SD. A friend of mine had a pair just like yours, but they were on a fire police great coat. As yours, tops only.

                A true SD set would have toxic green bottons.

                  So, in your opinion, are they worth anything? I gave for them about 5 $, so I'm not very disappointed that they may not be SS.

                      refer to bob hritz's comments.... then go looking for matching bottoms. I guess these are pretty desirable and worth a great deal more than 5.
