    SS Shoulder Board?

I was going through my collection and I was wondering about this board. It looks police but the backing is black and the V's on the front are black. Is it maybe SD? What's it worth?

          Hi themilitaryman.

I have to agree with Gary that this is not an SD board, therefore it is not an SS board. To be honest I don't know what branch of civic or military service this board would be associated with. But, the color is not correct for an SD board which would be more of a bright green and black ... depending on rank of course. Do a search for SD boards and I'm sure you'll see the difference.

Hey, I just found out what this is. I saw a pair of these for sale on the e-stand and it is a RAD shoulder board. Just in case any of you were wondering.

Is the board centre portion pea green or brown?

If it is pea green it is post war..

                Board

The center could be called pea green but it is darker and maybe an odd green color. It could be an odd color brown too. I guess it depends on what your definition of the color is. The pictures that I have posted make it look green, but it is more brown in real life. The other board that I found and compared this with are on:

                http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=282262

Mine is a slip on while that one is a sewn on. The silver thread on mine along the border is metallic and the v's are thicker compared to the other where the v's are thinner and the thread doesn't look metallic. Plus the v's on mine in the middle are metallic silver and thin, and the other boards are white and fat v's. So maybe mine in post war or were there different variations? Now that I look at it, the boards are almost opposites.
