these are a machine embroidered fake trying to look like a woven example and were available by NM the regalia specialist

It's interesting to note that the stitching pattern on these fakes is very similar to the stitching pattern on original SS beret skulls. (Photo courtesy of the Doc's site).

Yes you would think IF the ss had ever kept the crash helmet for panzer crews this would be the second model insignia ready to mount on green or black beret NOT...Billbert
