    question about SD cufftitle

    Hello,

I have a question concerning the use of blank cuff titles by the SD and Gestapo.

I got this from a german wikipedia site:

"Die SD-Angehörigen der Ober- und Unterabschnitte trugen einen schwarzen Ärmelstreifen (matt-weiß eingefasst) ohne Beschriftung."

Now who wore it and who didn't within the ranks of the SD/Gestapo?

I've seen pictures of SD men in the Netherlands that are wearing the SD sleeve diamond (without piping), but without a blank cuff title.
I've seen pictures of Gestapo men in Poland that are wearing the SD sleeve diamond (with piping), but without a blank cuff title.
But I've also seen a picture of SD/einzatsgruppe men in Poland that are wearing the SD sleeve diamond (without piping), but also with a blank cuff title.

So that would indicate that it wasn't just practiced by "SD men attached to the Ober- and Unterabschnitte." back in Germany. Can anybody shed some light on this subject? Perhaps Gestapo men never wore a blank cuff title? From what I've read I understand that only 'ausland' Gestapo men wore SD uniforms to start with.

Some help would be very much appreciated
