It looks like the badge in AJ's period photo has a different angle than the pictured badge...or is it just the angle of the photo?

Hi there,

I can see your point about the angles. I have an original badge , award book and a good quality copy of AJ's photo. It's just a deceptive picture. The badge in the photo is not presented perpendicular.

The angle you see is deceptive because what you can see is the badge on an angle and the sunwheel cut outs you see are made by one edge of the front side of the badge and one edge of the backside of the badge.
