IMO, not for me, but this is all about a forum of many opinions.

Have you seen and handled more like this one that you know 100% are good, if so where?

Ravensbruck tunics have certain construction features for those that have handled many but a bad stamp is a bad stamp. See the fakes section for the type of stamp which is on this tunic. I will hazard to say as well i have seen 2 of these now in addition to the fake section ebay tunic all not in line with ravensbruck construction and having similiar signatures from the fakers IMO.

            Hi everybody

Patatrack and Mask, sorry, but I agree with Pete. Pete did a great labour about Betr. Ra tunics, and this one on LastReich has something wrong in the marking and maybe in material. Not bad 100%, but suspicious....

                .

The work i did was only the result of the teaching of people who have handled hundreds of ravensbruck tunics and know the slight differences but more so the very consistant features as well. You can paint aduck green but its still a duck.

Of course all of this is my opinion only and this is a forum about opinions based on forensics and historical fact , not personal attack.

                Best,

Tunic is post war manufactured, stamp is also not original.

                  IMO

Just to jump on the pile, the characteristics that I look at on these (and most other uniform items) rarely have anything to do with the ink stampings. They can provide a clue as to good or bad, but it is an easy feat to get stampings correct.

On these SS M42 and M43 tunics there is just a subtle look that I have never seen perfectly reproduced. I don't care how much they age them and dog them out the fakes do not have a contrived look that is just too me unlike the real ones.

As you get into the details like with this one, the wool and the lining (and sewing of the lining) really give it away.
