          I dismissed these as possible reproductions, but cannot say for sure. A dealer in the states had a few and he was willing to bargin...made me suspicious.

            I believe it is an original and discussed these a few months ago on the tinnies forum.

            if you run a search on 'SS tinnie' then it should be there in the results.

                  Playing devils advocate here, but could it be the pin and attachment are original but from old stock, such as a warehouse find, then attached to a modern fake pin? I don't collect tinnies at all but the pin and attachment piece do look old so I thought I would throw the idea out there.
