    SS officer collar tab

Here's one for your viewing pleasure, a genuine SS tab that just came
" right out of the woodwork" by a close friend of mine. He picked it up right from the U.S. veterans son just weeks ago, along with some other misc german items.
Bullion tab, but as you can see it is smaller than what is normally seen.
This baby is right as rain.

      Wow what a beautiful tab
It is possible it was re-sized a bit to make a better fit and appearance on the collar

      Regards

The perfect fit for those "pointy" SS collars!

          Isn't it just beautifully sinister?

I have never seen a ss tab so heavily customised before in collections or period photos. However the collar tab is original (IMO) and a nice and interesting one to have. Its a pity there is almost nill chance to find a matching original rank tab.

Nice odd tab to have. Its not all text book!

That's a very interesting collar tab, for sure. It doesn't look "textbook" as Felix said, but I agree that it looks like a good one.

                  Hi,

I'd be happy with this one in my collection!

                  Kind regards,
                  Gerd V

                    SS tab

Yes, gents it is a GOOD one, that is the main reason I took the time to post it here for all to see. They are not all textbook and when I can obtain a piece that is indisputable (to me) I am glad to share.
                    Thanks all.

Thanks for sharing! I always love seeing these "non-textbook", yet obvious originals--keeps reminding me that they sure enough didn't always do things "by the book."
