SA/SS Gorget Values?

Hello everyone,

I'm just curious about what would be considered a current fair price for an early SA/SS Gorget in good condition--the type with the sunwheel swastika on the roudel. The reason I ask is that I've recently seen two rather striking differences in prices. Recently on the e-stand, I saw one sell for $750.00, and at the same time I saw one on a popular dealer website for $1500.00--both in about the same condition. As I said, that's a rather sharp difference in prices, and it has me a little confused about what to look for as a fair price. I know e-stand prices can be better, but at half the dealer price, it's what I'd call far more than "better". I also ask this because I'm considering adding one to my collection, and although I've studied the gorgets, I haven't had much experience with their prices.

These can be had for under $1000 pretty regularly.
But Buy from someone you know, they are faked as well.

One has just been sold a few days ago on the e-stand for 800$
I sold one about a year ago and also got around 800$ for mine

But as mentioned many fakes are made and some of them are really well made, so be careful
