    Obersturmfuhrer Medical Boards

    Hi Gents,

    These arrived with some WW1 medals recently. Initially I thought they looked OK. There is no adverse reaction under UV. However on closer inspection in daylight, I think they may be repros.

    The black is a true black in real life, even though the scans suggest reddish/brownish hues.

    Could those more knowledgeable please give their opinoins.

                I agree with your concerns. The back backing is very fuzzy. The blue material is not wool or rayon and looks a lot like a lot of known fake piping. I don't like the way the end of the board is constructed as you point out in photo #7.

                      Many thanks gents. What actually woke me up was the apparent black "artline" pen on the ends of the cardboard backing, visible in Post#7.
