The characteristics of the print job are not what I would expect on a period piece. It's not one I would want.

Different piece for sure. Based on construction method you would think others would abound. Has anyone seen any others for sure? I am assuming if fake, "they" made more than one.

I saw very often that in a lot of fakes there's a stamp to show the item as "old" and original from Third Reich, very often in items that come from east-europe. But i know that the larger part of original waffen-SS armbands was yellow and with no one stamp.

Here another fake with no stamp

I think someone is trying to outdo the Third Reich Depot.

I spoke too soon. I think page 2 may outdo page 1.

Everyone take a look at this site. This is a veritable museum of fakes & fantasies. Many I have never seen before or even imagined could possibly exist.

All aged with vacuum cleaner dirt, scorching, some type of mild acid soak and the usual coffee and "tea bagging".

Plenty of fake medals and everything else too.

Many of these fantasy fakes are made in Eastern Europe and may well be unique. They are made one at a time from old fabric and rags so they will pass the blacklight test and burn test. The rubber stamps are almost always there as well. These are often sold at flea markets in Europe or on eBay and many of them have worked their way into collections and even antique stores in the US. I have seen countless variations of these types of fantasy cloth items, often no two are alike. The designs and construction techniques are limited only by the faker's imagination.

You mean they actually use COFFEE and TEA to artificially age fake items???!!!
And here I thought they were original items some careless Hauptsturmfuhrer spilt his morning coffee on!! Damn!! Well, it's back to third Reich Depot for that stuff now!!
