    Early D&SM Cap Skulls

I believe these were the first m-34 skulls to appear. Any opinions?

Those look very nice and very rare. D&S M. Must stand for deschler and sohn
    Munchen.

Yes, I believe that to be correct. These skulls are also slightly more petite that the standard M1/52 versions.

        Very nice indeed!
The one on the right seems to have small disks under the prongs, is that so?

I believe that the first 1934 pattern SS skull was only marked "D.&S.M.".
This is the one I mentioned earlier. Also, these smaller skulls are the same
as the "RZM 52" marked skulls.

          Best,
          Chris

You would think the Pat.Pending version would preceed all others, no?

You would think, but some of the latest issue Assmann skulls in zinc alloy are marked this way...

Yes, but did Assmann go on to mark skulls in any other way? I believe the examle shown in the Assmann catalog may be an unmarked version of the Assman skull.

As far as Assmann skulls, I've only ever seen Ges. Gesch and unmarked versions...
