The Schalburg Korps was widely hated by the Danish people. It was a Danish Korps operating in Denmark supporting the German police and troops and were therefore very unpopular amongst the common Danish people.

Except for the name it had nothing to do with Christian Frederik von Schalburg. He was already dead at the time the corps were founded and it was named the Schalburg-Korps to honor his name. It did the opposite and now the name Schalburg is equal terror.....Thanks to the Korps

Yes, I did some online research on Christian Schalburg last night and learned quite a bit about him (and of course a little more about Freikorps-Danmark ) It is also easy to understand why the civilian population feared and hated the Schalburg-Korps, but a real shame that Christian Schalburg's name will forever be associated with it.
