    ss white leather question

    Ive Heard Many Mixed Things About This Did The Ss Honor Guards On Parade Besides Leibstandarte Wear The White Belt With Cross Strap I Have A Book Showing A Painted Officer From The 1st Ss Deutchland Division Wearing This His Collar Tab Has The Ss Runes With A One Under It And Hes Wearing The White Parade Keather Cross Strap And Belt Any Documentation Of This In Photos Or Does Anyone Know If This Is Right Please Help Im Still Trying To Get To The Bottom Of These 2 Questions The Other Is If Fuhrerhauptquartier Cufftitle 2nd Script Was Worn By Ss.

      thats kinda strange. to my knowledge, only the SSLAH and police wore the white leather parade equipment. there were also white leather y-straps, bayonet frogs, and KAR98 ammo pouches.

          Wewelsburg, please read what you have written. You saw a "painted officer" ? A painting of an officer or what? "From the 1st SS Deutschland Division"? You mean the 1st LSAH Division or the 2nd SS Deutschland Division or the 1 SS Deutschland Regiment? What did you see?

          As far as I have read, white leather fittings were only authorized for the LSAH in parade circumstances. The police Schutzpolizei only wore white only for the NCO bandeliers. No other pieces of field gear.

              Joe didn't the post war police also have white leather ppk holsters. I remember dealers trying to pass them off as LAH holsters in the 70's -80's

                I recently found a picture of white leather in wear for the belt and cross strap. Will post tonight.
