That's correct, It was pulled quickly by the eBay Police. I managed to get a message off to seller and I gave him a offer so I'll wait and see. If I get it this will be my first piece of SS headgear...

Ebay does employ people to delete items the algorithm they employ picks up via certain keywords (Nazi , SS, gestapo etc..) they inspect the auction and delete where necessary..
btw, i ripped off an e-mail as well, but have not heard a word...

Well those ebay employees sure are doing a crappy job, there are thousands of items listed as you describe that do not get pulled off. And it is amazing how all the fakes and repro stuff never gets pulled but the rare original stuff always does.
