"Pink" smock or not?

With all due respect, I have to question if you are really considering some or all these "sticking" points above.

No i do not like the listed features along with the unidentifiable Russian markings. Without a solid evidence of originality I am staying away from it as I have already bought convincing and sophisticated fakes as originals before

There is a reason for that and that is your posts are beyond dispute, but uncomfortable for some as they document deviation from old accepted beliefs.

We are way past that. There are not post war synthetic threads in them. It was actually something that I did in 81 when I got home with mine.

I think that the main test left would be a test on the dyes. This will to some degree be destructive and if it shows no post 45 chemicals involved it will sway none of the naysayers. Even a proven and clear wartime photo or photos of these in wear will not convince everyone......there is just too much water under this bridge and maybe too much a stake.

If these smocks were made up in the late 1970s as fakes...the fakers were either by a large margin the smartest fakers of that era or the luckiest or both.

To date there has never been a proper study in any form on "Russian capture stamps". There seems to be no end of variety to them. I would be interested to learn if our Russian speaking members can tell us which USSR film studio, museum or military store these stamps are from ???

WH ?, LW ?, SS ?, KM ?, Pol ?, NSDAP ? SS camo ?

The list could go on but who has got another beyond doubt German uniform with these ones ?

We know these are good and some can be read but so far no one has ever worked them out. Note how they have identifying bits crossed out ???

Did anyone notice at least on one photo the red colour was connected to "lease", on post 2, and there are red triangles in the cap as well, in addition to square stamps "written off" in a different color. Just quoting what is writtenon that thread.

I would like to know now whats the signifigance of different colours on the stampings, if there is.

you have just found the second example of a non-"Pink" (Silver Birch ?) smock with the stamps in it.

Plane-Tree if I understand it correctly. I can see a number "6"

And with the stamp on HBT pockets

This just continues to get better and now we have another cat amongst the pigeons

Let see what everyone says about it but this could be very important discovery and confirmation. Not only do we have the stamps but we have the HBT pockets to go with it,

p.s. no lace/ string either and not heavily washed. Found at the same time or a completely independent source/ find from the "Pinks" ?
