RSD SS insignia

This is my first post so I hope it comes out ok.Im wondering if anyone can give me some information on this piece. Is it connected with the original Hitler bodyguard formation that came before the SD ? Anything I might learn about it would be helpful. Thanks Hetzer

Not sure of this particular area but if it's the same RSD that was bodyguarding Hitler, then I think they basically wore the same uniform as the SD.
