Thanks for the info Too bad the lot got broken up - all those documents belonged to one man. But the Solbuch was the killer!! Its a second time in my life that I get to see original Galician soldbuch Does anybody know how much it went for?

I wish I knew. That book sold in what I would imagine was record time. If anyone finds out how much it went for, please let us know.

It really is a shame that the lot was split

I saw this entire grouping a few weeks back before its then owner sold the group. The documentation is a fascinating history of a man who clearly was present during some serious atrocities quite early on.

If I remember, he applied to enter Canada after the war and was refused - Great Britain was happy to let him stay, (plus ca change......)

The items were sold by Hannahs Reich and i think some of the group are still on the site.
