Sorry Sid, this one is a poor reproduction.

Sid, how about giving the search function on this forum a whirl?

If you had typed M5/8 into it, you would have quickly learned that the number is completely bogus.

In gereral, I recommend that you spend a good bit of time using that function and reading old threads before you even consider another TK. Nothing you have shown so far is even remotely close to an original. You need to put your time into studying this hobby, rather than just using the forum as a free "ask an expert" service. People will stop helping you if all you do is post TK after TK, hoping that if you go through enough of the crap out there, you will get lucky and stumble upon one that turns out to be good. Do your homework.

Why do you answer any questions at all from new members on this forum.

New members, like Sid from Belgium are not stupid.

You looks like an old angry man - and must consider to read the book: How to smile for dummies?

                Cheers

                Johannes,

I believe that it you were to read more of these threads, you would see that I am glad to share what I know freely with all members, old and young, veteran and new. However, I suggest that you consider looking at this from the perspective of those of us who, over months and years, see the same questions being asked about the same fakes over and over. What we see is new collectors who do not want to invest the time into their hobby to study or even take a few minutes to do a quick search of this forum, which, with its archive of threads has become a great source of information by itself. Instead, they seem to only want immediate answers handed to them on a platter. I am glad to help anyone who seems eager to learn, but I get frustrated at being seen as a free answer man for those with no time or interest in studying.

                Brad

Hi Johannes, with respect Brad gives a lot of help and advice on the forum.

The search button is sadly very under used. There is a wealth of info just awaiting to be found. SS cap insignia is one of the most talked about subjects on this forum. The answers are there in most cases, if people took the time to look in the first place.

                  Cheers, Ade.

I agree 100% with the rewards of first doing some research on your own. I always first read and examine everything I can everywhere I can get it, before I even think of posting a question about it here. Most of the time, by the time I ask the question here, I already have a pretty firm idea about what the answer is. That doesn't mean I'm always correct, but it does mean that I'm learning in the process of asking, before I ever ask. Even after I believe I know myself, I sometimes like to get a second opinion anyway.

Also, I have often found that in the process of doing your own research, you will often uncover various facts which will help you to make your question more specific. In doing so, you may sometimes help others consider new things that even they had not considered. You will also be able to then ask a question which will show that you have first done some research on the subject in advance. Other members will then respect you all the more for your initiative to learn and first find out what you can on your own. That way, you can then ask a question which is more than just "Is it good or bad?" In that way, I think we can all help one another learn something new in the process of thinking, sharing, and evaluating everything. That's just my opinion.

                    Chris

Some questions are asked time and time again and are asked by the same individuals time and time again sometimes they are demanded, BUT It is up to each person to do there own homework that is how you learn.

If you are told yes its real no its fake all the time what do you learn? the forum is a great resource use it, use the search function, learn your craft.

After all you would not go to buy a BWM from a car dealer and let him sell you a larda with a BMW badge, in this hobby just like life you get back what you put in.

And remember people give there help here free, learnt form there experiences, those asking the question should be more thankful and humble, you are asking others to share there knowledge they have built up over there years of collecting,

And to be honest the fakes posted by sid should not fool anyone they are terrible if this is his idea of what originals should look like Sid needs to do some homework before he even considers to buy a TK,

                      Cheers

I quit giving opinions on the well known, and obvious fakes.
I think everyone else should do the same. If no one answers them,
then that might force people to search the forums and learn for themselves. I too, am always willing to help anyone, but not with the obvious ones that have been posted a zillion times. People are so lazy.

                        Best, Chris

the search function has helped me hundreds of times, AND it is faster than posting pics and asking, most of the time you get the answer right away.

But if the search function doesn´t help you, then you should post and ask.

btw people should also learn how to use google or any other serach engine

                            research

                            hi,

i think doing research would be better, because iam wasting a lot of money here for so called fakes. I began with collecting a database of real skulls and fakes, to juxtapose them.
But if anyone has good information about how we definitly recognize real from fakes, i'll be glad

Hi Sid, well done. By doing this you will soon learn
