I just would like to bring in another proof as it is shown on the GDM website under the tread from Marc Bando called well used SS cloth. There is one tab shown w/o the buckram what is absolutely similar to this discussed rune tab. It is a vet bring back from one of the 101.

The backing lays down like an earlier tab with this different material. And of course the buckram is different and more like SS tabs some people might like better.

The contributions from Marc are just incredible. Between these two threads, I am now convinced that this style tab is a period piece. More importantly, now I have yet another piece to add to the 'wanted' list... which keeps getting longer, and longer...
