    Unmarked Julleuchter.

    Hi.

    Is it more selden to find a unmarked Julleuchter that a marked one ?

        I will post some new pictures tomorrow.
        I thougth it was made marked and unmarked Julleuchters before and under the war ?

                    It's been a while since I researched these, but I remember that most are marked but some aren't--no significance other than the fact that the unmarked examples might have been made on a Monday morning or Friday afternoon; )
                    Mine is marked, and is kind of interesting because the artisan working on it left part of a fingerprint in the earthenware where she or he smoothed it, which was subsequently fired and preserved.

                      Hi.

                      Interesting about the fingerprint on your Jeulleuchter Erich.

                      Here some history on mine:

                      Last thuesday I was visiting the family of a SS soldier.
                      He was in Division Nordland and got killed in the hard battles of Dnjepropetrowsk. He was killed 8th August 1941.
                      His mother and father got this Jeulleuchter because he got killed on the Ostfront.
                      And I got it from the relatives !
