Help with SS metal insignia, please

    Kameraden,

I'm looking into purchasing a visor cap but I'd like to run the insignia past the list to get some opinions. I'm horrible in determining SS visor cap insignia. Any and all opinions are welcome! Supposedly the Totenkopf has a missing pin. No rear fotos are available.

    Thanks in advance!

    Sepp

I see no problems with these at all.

Can you get a close-up of the head of the eagle?
So far, they look OK to me.

          Best,
          Chris

Well, I have never seen a head exacty like that one.
Not to worry though, as I would guess that is most likely a very late Zimmermann and the dies were very worn when it was made.
All the maker's eagles' head detail faded eventually.
In fact, most SS eagles have sloppy looking head and beak details,
except for the earliest ones, where the dies were still fresh.
It took me a long time to find an early, unworn example from each maker.
Also, some of them reworked their dies, so there are many variations.
I do like that eagle, although I still can't say 100%, without holding it.

              Best,
              Chris

Excellent!! Thanks guys for all the opinions! With the insignia getting good reviews, I'm one step closer to getting an exceptional looking A-SS visor!
