    Hi Geert,

    Thanks
Yes, the photo is an original press photo. It has a piece of paper on the back with a text written with a typewriter. I says:
"DE HERRINNERING VAN DE HELDEN VAN DEN OORLOG 1914-1918 HAD OP 21 OOGST IN HET BIJZIJN VAN TALRIJKE PERSOONLIJKHEDEN OP HET KERKHOF VAN LANGEMARCK PLAATS."

    Yes, It is SCHELLONG
Question.... Find and seek Cyril VERSCHAEVE on the picture !!

    regards,
    Gerd V

So that's the reason so few answers are coming out of GermanDaggers.com!!

        FOUND HIM

YOu can just see his glasses, between the wehrmacht guy and the other flemish algemene SS member on the left (could that be Jef Cognac ???) ... I think Luc has some other photos remembering this event in Langemarck, there even exist some movie material relating to that visit!

Great, come on, there must be others around here who got some flemish stuff to show!!! I know there are some US guys too that have one or more flemish pieces in their collection, throw it in this topic!

More nice stuff! Who is the SS-man next to Jef cognec? On the far right on the picture you can see somebody whit a Panzer Uniform, I think I seen the guy before on pictures of Flemish vollunteers out of Gent, that going to the Ostfront, who is he?

          Greetings Michaël

            Little question:

What was the difference between 'de vlaamse wacht' and the 'vlaamse wachtbrigade'?

                Gilles,

Now that's very difficult to explain

Here's a jacket from the Vlaamse Wachtbrigade (or fabriekswacht).

It's just missing a little lion shield on the left sleeve. You can still see the contours of where it was. It's a lion like the one posted by Gerd V.
Gerd, if you ever....you know what i mean

                Enjoy..

Hi Tom, yes it is. I had it professsionally framed. It is for "Westland" and Frw. Legion Flandern".

                              Cheers, Ade.
