            Very interesting picture Alex!
Is the SS-Panzeroberschütze member of the 'Nordland'?

            Thanks for posting!

Thanks Askold. It is a little frayed at the edges ( a bit like its owner) but doesn't appear to be worn.

                    Oostfrontgemeenschap

Can any of our Flemish colleagues identify this picture? It's clearly postwar and I think translates as "The occasion of the 25th anniversary of the East Front Community/Comrades"

It is sealed in a framed which i don't want to remove so apologies for the poor quality of the picture.

                    best

                        Nice wedding picture. Congrats!
Based on the medals (anschluss and service years medals it appears) I say he is most likely a German cadre member NCO of Langemarck,
                        not a Flemish Volunteer.
German nationals in such legions often wore foreign volunteer nationality shields (like a flemish one) to show kinship to the unit that they were assigned to at the time.
Another example: many images of Germans in Handschar wearing Croatian shields (form of unit identity)

He could also be detached to the SS-Infanterie-Regiment ‘Langemarck’/SS-Panzer-Division ‘Das Reich’.<O</O
